I'll check all of the above next chance I get. Sure acts like vacuum leak, but I can't find it. I'll change the hoses to be sure. Tank probably does have some crap in it, but new filter didn't plug up right away. Good info on the carb shop link. Got that bookmarked.

Could be the accelerator pump, but here's an article that discusses
how the idle adjustment being off can cause 'puddling' which is a
temporary rich condition caused by idling. It bogs briefly until the
extra gas gets sucked out.
