Don't any of you rebuild starters? It sounds to me like the solenoid disc/stud is worn out.The disc can be cleaned up and the stud filed up to clean metal or replacement items purchased at an old time rebuilders shop or Chrysler may even still sell repair kits servicing these parts.

short out the starter terminals with screw drver and see if it turns over.  Dave O


You did not mention that it has been a year since you tried starting it, good luck on engine not being stuck, could also be corroded armature in starter
