I stopped and looked at a 1947 Willys Jeep for sale locally (Akron, Ohio
area). From what I could see, jeep was in OK condition, some rust, your
basic military-type jeep. Has Military grade tires, seats, etc. Saw
that it carried an extinguisher, sign said it had some recent service,
parts replacement, etc. Looked like a really fun project (if I wasn't up
to my eyes in Mopar projects already). Believe they were asking $2700 or
so for the vehicle.
If anyone is interested, let me know, and I will try to get a contact
