Not hate mail buddy, but maybe I can explain. My friend here in beautiful Washougal Washington owns a body shop and 14 years ago told me about a 62 Dart 4 door he grew up in and wanted to buy one, even though he has a very nice red 64 330 2 door post. So thru the years I looked for him,and explained how you could make a 2 door post from a 4 door post.So I bought a 4 door in exchange for painting my red 64' GTO convertable and found right in my back yard at All American Classic boneyard, 2 hardtop doors and quarterpanels, He has the car half done and is
currently on the back burner, but then 2 years ago I found a real 62 2 door post in good shape except trunk floor for $500 bucks, which is close to being a 413 max wedge clone. Then in November 2011, sold my 65 GT mustang convertable and found a beautiful 62 dart 440 2 door hardtop,361, factory air, pw,ps,pb and power seat in great shape, built in L.A, now in showroom condition, then in Jan 2012, found 2 4 door 62 darts, just finishing one of them, slant 6 3 on the tree. Guess my point is, after owning over 250 cars at 54 years old, these 62's really grown on you! Just saying.... Russell the tire fryer

Call me crazy but IMHO, even though they're MOPOARs, the 62 Dart was one of the homeliest cars of the 60's. Just like every Dodge truck made from 72 down. I look forward to what I'm sure is gonna be a crap load of hate mail. Have a nice day.

I'm okay with a /6 or what have you, I just love the look of the fins and the different body style, something to cruise in. Still looking for a 62 Chrysler too, but Im hoping I can find Either one closer to where I'm at (Louisiana) cause shipping is expensive these days. Maybe someone can give me a lesson on these vehicles, what to look for, common issues (body rust areas, etc) and some history. Figure I'd try to get some people talking :)
