RE 500 /518 trans



  The Conversion to cable sounds great and will consider that for my 62 318.  The problem i see is the size of trans in the mount area not so much the tunnel.  I built a v6 powered 70 dart and that’s where we had the most interference . We kept the motor as far ahead as practical but still had just 1/4 inch clearance . Well worth doing as it get’s 34 mpg to canadian gallon of fuel and lots of fun .  If interested email me and i can provide more details.
