WARNING****WARNING
I have dealt personally with these people in this link.
Performance Auto & Transmission Center in Shreveport, LA. I took my street
rod there to have it upgraded from a 727 to a 518. Turn key job. After the
3 rebuild they finally got the transmission to shift. None of there fancy
electronic kick down crap works. I ended up putting a toggle switch on it
myself. I will push my Mopar before they ever touch it again.

Okay, let me get this straight. You're
debating weather to get crappy Chinese pats and get stuck with a one year
warrantee, or get quality made parts with a three year warrantee.
Dude, do you really have to ask that question?? Go with better parts
and better warrantee. This is a no brainer.

OK the shop called me back at 7:30pm with a list of parts that need to
be replaced. I do trust this shop, they did my mini van transmission
in November. They gave me some choices, and I'm not sure how to
proceed.
They will use all new seals, clutches and things like that. But
the planetary gear they have some perfect conditions used ones that they
want to put in the case. They said that the parts from the 60's even
if used are still better than the new ones. They said the Chinese
steel parts are not good and if that is what I want they will only warrenty
it for 1 year. But if I buy their used parts they will do a 3
year-50,000 mile warenty. They are also going to rebuilt the
T-converter as they have no way to telll if it had internal damage or now,
so they will rebuilt it too.
So are there any new parts that are better than old used parts?
Or should I just let him do the used, made in america parts?
Thanks
