I have blueprinted several engines and have not had piston slap on any of them. Slap = wear and egg shaped cylinders. Just saying! Maybe they do it differently now days.
Do you know what is entailed to blueprint an engine?

Thought I should report my findings. The loud noise I was hearing was indeed the rockers hitting cover. Solved that. The other sounds I hear is piston slap. I brought it to the local Mopar race guy/guru. He helped build the motor. Just said it was piston slap, the motor Was blueprinted an everything with a little more clearance for more horsepower. He demonstrated his dart race car and showed me his pistons in the block. Said it was normal and no reason to worry and its a very good strong motor. Makes me feel relieved!
