Lake Charles, LA is usually 85% to 100% humidity, except in winter,
when the cold blasts come in.
The "bubble " is the only way to keep it out when the humidity is
that high.

Yes my garage is nice and dry. No problems. I don't have it
out there for the car tho. I have it out there for the boxes
and photos that are stored out there. Here houses get black
mold on the walls, but not my house, it's about 35% humidity
year round inside my house. I like it on the dry side. The
garage is about the same.
They are not cheap or cheap to run, The plastic bubble
sounds like a good idea, cost effective and you only have to buy
it once.

That's what I had planned on doing, running a line. Its
like a crack where it's supposed to seal at the top, u
can't tell unless u stand in front and look up and see
where its not flush against the frame. I'm pretty sure ima
go ahead and get a new door. But those with good garages,
lol, do y'all have a lot of dust? And Eric, that
dehumidifier in ur garage, does it do good?

I live in WA state, I have 3 dehumidifiers. One
for the garage and 2 for the house. Not sure if you
have a big gap in the door it it's going to do much
good. And they do add a lot to the electric bill.
Well 3 of them do. And you have to empty the bucket
every day, or you can hook up a drain hose and run
it outside so you don't have to mess with it.

Hey guys,
What's the best way to store a car in a garage?
Got a lot of humidity down here. My garage door
is bent at top, so all kinds of dust gets in
(super annoying). But I'm looking at buying a
new one, caught between insulated and just
standard door. But anyways, had anyone ever
purchased a dehumidifier for their garage or
would recommend doing so? I don't want my new
car or old car to rust, and I'd like to keep
dust out. Dust collects moisture in air an it
settles on the chrome and stuff and causes the
rust. Anyways, I'm just looking to protect my
hard earned toys and make them last for years to
come and keep them looking good :)
