If recently re-packed, then probably not.  If its been awhile (a few
years) or a few 1000 miles, If I've pulled the bearing/hub I always
pack out the old grease with clean, to ensure lease possible friction.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
