I was going to do that, then I got conflicting info about vibration and damage to various engine mounting tabs and the bell housing from leaving the trans crossmember as the only flex point. I've read that there are people happy with that fix though. Then & Now did a rebuild of mine for about $150 for two with very fast turn around. Kanter is now up to $215 a piece.
