My 65 hood scoop came from Kramers. This is how I mounted mine. I
installed
the "J" clips on the hood scoop, put the screws in the clips, heavily
coated
the screw heads with lip stick, set the scoop on the hood, drilled the
holes
where the lip stick ended up. Fit good. I had to change the length of
some
screws because some ended up on the hood bracing.

it? He has it setup so there's a "flange" on the bottom edge of the
scoop, and it uses fender type speed clips to mount it. No holes
drilled.
