Polishing Plastic Parts

Thanks to Eric Strurgis for the article on dash restoration.  I'm sure some of you know this already, but an alternative to plastic polishes is toothpaste.  I used toothpaste on my dash plastic and it worked great.  Mine had paint overspray on it from the previous owner painting the interior of the car, and toothpaste and elbow grease cleaned it up very nicely.  I've used it on my tail light lenses, too.  I've also used it on modern vehicle headlights - it works great.  If the headlights are especially bad, wet sand with different grits of sandpaper first, then finish by polishing with toothpaste.  It's much cheaper than the headlight restoration kits.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
