I had very good luck cleaning mine up by holding them in water and scrubbing them with ooo steel whole.  With a lot of elbow grease they cleaned up real well.  I sprayed them with clear lacquer and let dry in the sun.  If you look very closely at them you will see very small pits but I have never had anyone comment about them since installed on my car.  I also used the same process on the chrome off the seats.

Thanks for the offer but I need the interior window trim for my 1965 Belvedere II 2 DrHt. It's chrome plated steel ( very rusty ). The local plater wants $90 PER piece to rechrome.

Me too! I have just about given up finding the interior trim. I believe I'll powder coat my rusty existing trim.
