Been there. Get a nos fuel gauge. Inside the fuel gauge is a voltage limiter. It's run in parallel with all other gauges. I just replaced mine when it started that, no problems now. It was like 50 bucks and easy to change. Ur manual gives u step by step instructions. Today the shot up when I was driving it.... I'd like to think my car isn't overheating because it doesn't make any weird sounds and I can touch the radiator and engine isn't boiling hot... What could cause this? Also I changed the points, cap, rotor, plugs and plug wires... Seemed to run better last night when I was done... Runs a little "cough rumbly" today... What did I do wrong?
