Off-topic but interesting (I think). This is 1937 one-off aluminum body Chrysler Imperial that was built by Walter Chrysler for his daughter. It's been owned for some time by the Vanderbilt Museum on Long Island. The museum is one of the old Vanderbilt mansions and is a great museum here on the north shore of Long Island. But it's hit on tough times like the rest of us with the bad economy. The large several million dollar trust fund that had been generating the annual revenue for upkeep has taken a beating on the investments and the amount has dwindled to where the museum can barely sustain itself. It's a shame; hope it raises some money for them. http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2011/11/16/walter-chryslers-one-off-imperial-town-car-to-be-sold/?refer=news - Jim Jim Altemose, Long Island, NY '63 Polara 500 (Max Wedge) '63 Polara 500 (383) '65 Belvedere I (Street Wedge) '71 Bronco -- -- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
