The electronic dist. upgrade is a good one, it is a performance as well as
a lower maintenance item, yes you can run it with out changing the VR. but why
would you want to, dig back into your stash, and find a 70s VR, ;and a plug
to fit it, only takes a few minutes to replace your present VR and change the
wire ends to the plug, your whole car will enjoy the smoother operation of the
electronic VR. As far as the ballast goes, you can use your present
one,
