I have used one many time successfully,,,, I start without the valve, my kit comes with about a dozen assorted tips, I use one of the cone shaped ones pushed directly into the hole where the bleeder valve was removed, and right or wrong, I usually start at the farthest one away from MC, and as to having to get up and down, my hose is long enough to be reached from outside the car, and only have to go under to install, and to remove, and yes if you have the money to have every tool ever needed, even if only to use once every few years,,,, then by all means buy a pressure bleeder, they are easier and fool proof
