Re: Welcome New Member - 1964 Belvedere

Thanks for the welcome guys!

Here's a pic of my '64 and the Max Wedge my dad owned.
http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/19304591_FH24PZ#926836359_orPKJ

It was originally a little old granny's /6 car that was converted to a
big block and repainted in the early 80's once her nephew got ahold of
it. The body is really solid for a canadian car as it spent most of
it's life in a garage. It now also has a console and buckets with an
aftermarket shifter.

I was storing it several hours away but have finally brought it home
so I could start working on it a bit to fix a few little things to get
it more driveable. Bought it with a fresh 440 that was topped off
with a 6 pack that hadn't been fired. Lightweight starter is going in
shortly and the fuel lines need cleaning up. As for future plans I
could definitely use some opinions. I'm thinking about going to an
alum rad w/ electric fans and doing a front disc brake conversion with
a newer style MC (will do that whatever I decide). My main plans
would be to make it a nice driver that's fairly reliable that will
have some strip time. An MSD box is also on the shopping list and
some upholstery is required.

I'm not sure I'll keep the 6 pack but it definitely makes for a
different setup in a 64!

Cheers,
Stacy

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
