Things might be slow E mail wise but I have made another
upgrade to 43, my Petty car.
As many of you know I had an aluminum radiator in my 65
Satellite, Ms Cruiser. It did not do the job of cooling the 440 so I put in a
bigger cross flow radiator. I have been trying to sell the radiator but no
takers. It is a good radiator with the inlet and outlet in the proper positions
for my /6 in 43. Rich K. has been on my butt to put it in 43. I did so yesterday
and it really spruced up my engine bay.
I ordered new upper ball joints from Autozone today. I will
replace them and the idler arm. All will be new except for the steering box. I
will overhaul that sometime in the future.
My 41 Ply street rod is at the rod shop getting some pop lock
poppers installed. She needs to be done by Oct 15, as we are going to the
Battleship Park in Mobile, AL. They are having an open show to raise money to
build some Iraq and Afghanistan memorials. There were over 350 cars last year
and they are hopeing for a better turn out this year.
