RE: '64 B-body heater control parts

Thanks for the tip, Ruth, $130 is much less than what I just saw on e-bay, and I would trust a rebuilt one even more. Also, I am also in Washington, south of Seattle, I checked and JC is north of Seattle, but no problem to drive up there. Cool, man

I have same need for my 64 440 w/o a/c. The plastic nipples the vacuum hoses go on seem to be a common problem with the old plastic breaking. I need the part number for one for non a/c so I can hunt for one. Please if you have access to yours could you get part number for me? Additionally JC Auto Restoration in Washington (425 672 8324) does rebuild them and then no more plastic to fail. Think it's about $130. Collectors Auto Supply may have used one - look their website up but you'll need part number for that exercise! Thanks, Ruth

Hi Gary, what I am looking for is a parts source for the vacuum switch box that is behind push button controls, as well as the vacuum powered servo's on the heater box for switching the heater/defroster/vent doors. I have three '64's on my property and the last time they were used the vacuum controls did not work in any one of them.

I just had a look at e-bay, I did not think to look there before, and sure enough there are parts available. But they are rather costly.  If there are any other sources available that would be handy.

Since my earlier post my Dad secured for me a very nice center console for my Coronet 500 (which I had been looking for a while). That will use up my parts allowance for a month ot so, give me some time to watch what the vacuum switches sell for on e-bay as well as look around before I pay what they asking for them.

thanks
