Re: Oil pressure

There's a bigger picture. I'm running 10-30 castrol. It's pretty hot down here all the time...maybe I should be running straight 30? My 350 used 20-50. But anyway, running it goes up prolly about a centimeter or so on the gauge when hot. The car runs fine! I just wanna prevent damage and take care of it. It's never been rebuilt or anything but I don't have the money or time to get it rebuilt right now..

You might get a manual gauage and check the oil pressure that way.  Just from what I see you are running pretty low as for a oil pressure.  You should be running at a bout 50 pds + while driving.  At lest 40 or better.   Most all my mopas run close to 50 pds or better.

So after getting my motor good and hot, after driving, at idle my oil pressure gauge shows at the second line from left. I'm including a pic...let me know if it's too small ima make it small for people without cable. I just wanna know if that's not good. It comes up a Bit while driving or giving gas. It doesn't have pressures on it so idk what pressure that line is. I figured someone would know what that is...and if that's good or not. Thanks in advance!
