Re: Newbie

Your car is very unique because of the wild flame job.  It really sets that car apart.  It always makes me happy when I hear another '62 Dodge has been saved.

Hello, all... Newbie to the group here. Hail from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and currently in possession of (or possessed by) a 1962 Dodge Dart 440 4-dr sedan.

12 hours per day, 7 days a week, 3 weeks in body shop and the last owner's winter beater became my head-turner. Finished in satin black with white flames (alien heads hidden in the flames), and a set of 225/70/15 raised whites on chrome smoothes seems to attract attention.... Motor is a stock 318 poly, carefully scavenged from a grain truck. Dual exhaust running "bottles" make sit sound like it has more power than it does.

Long list of lots of little things to do, but I've been driving it almost daily since it came out of the body shop. So progress is slow, but I'm enjoying the car. Just swapped out the generator in favour of an alternator, and electronic ignition is next.

Interior will probably top the list for next winter, and the rear springs were just done..... I put around 1,000 KM's/week on this thing.

For anyone that cares, some pictures of the car can be found here:
