Re: Headlight switch 1965 Coronet

Ted,

It's easy...I've already done one in mine. Reach up under the dash and
find the switch housing. On the flat metal bracket side, there will be
a button. Pull the headlight switch stalk out all the way, then push
the button and pull it again. It may take a little wiggling, but it
should pull right out. Then spin the nut (has notches) out on the
front of the dash to remove the switch. I'm sure there's an official
tool for this, but I use a small screwdriver but be very careful not
to slip and scratch your dash. Then with the switch off the dash, you
can pull the wiring harness off. Reverse to re-install. This switch
should be available at a local parts store.
