4.5" was perfect on my 63 Jimmy On 6/24/2011 10:52 AM, Donald Gallimore wrote:
I have the 275s on my'65 Belvedere. Offset is critical. 4.5" was not enough as tire rubbed on outer wheel well. 5" worked out. It is close to springs but they do clear sufficiently to work. Measure with whatever technique you can find before you spend money on wheels you can't use and can't return (been there, done that). I think there is a discussion on this in the tech section on the 62-65 website. I'm probably going with BFG Radial T/A and 225/70R14 in the front. I'm waffling between 275/60R15 or 255/60R15 in the back. I like the big/little look but I'm worried 275 is too wide. Can anyone post a picture of their rear end ? ;) - Jim Jim Altemose, Long Island, NY '63 Polara 500 (Max Wedge) '63 Polara 500 (383) '65 Belvedere I (Street Wedge) '71 Bronco -- -- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
