I used an axle from a, I think 65, A100 van on my 63 Belvedere AWB back in the 70s with no modification to it. I'm sure it wont track any narrower than your 65 and if it is wider it wont be by much. If it is a little wider, SO! Just unbolt the K frame and suspension from your 65 and make sure you get all the spring hangers, shackles, gearbox bracket & anything associated with the axle off the donor and re-weld them back onto your 65 frame after you clean them up. Just make sure it is square with the car or it will track crooked. I fabricated a light cross member for support and mounting the engine using the bolt holes from were the old K frame bolted to the frame before I installed the axle to keep everything straight. Measure four times and then weld!

Subject: track width for A110 VANS
A 65 Dodge straight axle van showed up at the wreckers. The guys
says i can scoop out the whole front suspension, brakes and steering
gear and box for 150 bucks. I'm thinking about the 65 coronet (
smile). Whats the track width on one of these vans anybody??
