Re: Off subject -cast iron



I tried once to find somebody once to weld something  cast iron for me
and nobody would touch it. It can be done, as the above folks said it
takes special rods, special skills and a tedious heating and cooling
process.

On my object ( a 1968 340 block with a busted off starter ear) I just
threw it in in the recycle bin. Got tired of looking and being told
no. That 340 is now living in China.
