These Pertronix units are really giving me the red a$$...the unit I had replace in 9/2010 took a dump. I went to take the Coronet out earlier this week for dinner. I fired it up, and it ran fine for ~15-20 seconds, then it stopped like someone turned off the key...no spark...just like the previous Pertronix unit I had. I was out in the garage Friday night until ~12:30 messing with it per the company's testing procedures but to no avail. I converted it back to points again today, and she runs like a champ. I'm not sure I can trust these things anymore. I went this route because I liked the idea of a stock look under the hood with no ECU or MSD box to hide. Does anyone else make a Pertronix style of electronic conversion unit that I could use? Anyone want to buy a new Pertronix Ingiter II once they warranty mine? I don't think I'll be going back to it.
