A 250 head is a 906 head without freeze plugs (actually a place to remove the casting sand) on the ends. These came on early 68 engines. Ive only seen them on 383s. I parted a 68 car years ago with these heads. An open chamber 915 is another way to describe them. --- On Sun, 4/10/11, Gary H. <62to65mopar@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > From: Gary H. <62to65mopar@xxxxxxxxxxx> > Subject: vagabond big block heads > To: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx > Date: Sunday, April 10, 2011, 7:30 PM > > Can anyone tell me if a pair of 2951250 heads are really a > one-year-only > casting number: they are listed as from a 1968 440 with > 2.08 intake and > 1.74 exhaust (same valves as the 1968-70 906 heads). > > I'm almost positive these 2951250 heads came off a 1968 > Polara 383 car. > > Thanks, > Gary H. > > > ---- > Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one > person -- directly to that person.
