Re: White / black 'vert tops?

According to the 65 C & U Book, white, black and blue were were the only color choices. My 65 440 convertible with light blue exterior and blue interior had a blue top - lot of blue!

Very interesting, thanks! I've can't remember ever seeing a blue convertible top on a '62-'65. Were any other color convertible tops available as options during these years?

Thanks,
Gary H.

I have a 65 Color and Upholstery dealer book and according to it the
black (code 580) and white (code 582) tops were available with all paint
colors. The blue convertible top (Code 581) was available with blue
interior only.

Does anyone know the protocol used for the convertible tops in the manufacturing process in the '62-65 years? That is, did all the convertibles come standard with white tops? I see some of these 'verts nowadays wearing a black vinyl top.

Thanks,
Gary H.
