Re: White / black 'vert tops?

I have a 65 Color and Upholstery dealer book and according to it the black (code 580) and white (code 582) tops were available with all paint colors. The blue convertible top (Code 581) was available with blue interior only.

Does anyone know the protocol used for the convertible tops in the manufacturing process in the '62-65 years? That is, did all the convertibles come standard with white tops? I see some of these 'verts nowadays wearing a black vinyl top.

Thanks,
