Headliner color

I have a 64 polara 500, black interior and now a fresh 64 dodge red
exterior (formerly white). The headliner is original and in excellent
shape. Its color is white.
My question is: Is white compatible with the black interior/red exterior
or should it be black? Not sure if white looks correct. Were different
headliner colors an option or was the color dependent on the interior
and/or exterior color?
If it needs to be changed, now would be a great time and i could respray
with the vinyl dye spray.
The car is ready to be returned home this Thursday or Friday if it warms
ups here (currently -35 windchills) with its new paint and ready for
interior and exterior reassembly. Kind of like a kid waiting for Santa
at Christmas.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
