My thoughts and concerns have been that we buy the cars we had as kids. This survey seems to point that way for our cars. Very true in my case as I had a number of 62-65 Mopars from High School until shortly after I was married at age 23. When the time comes to unload my toys, and it will come, will there be a buyer? I look at the pre-war cars and even the 50s cars and I don't see a big demand (i.e. high prices) except for 55-57 chevy's and the corvette/t-bird sports cars. The true one of 50 muscle cars will continue to be big sellers as well as the top of the line classic cars. But in 15 or 20 years from now I likely won't be able to use them anymore. Not sure I see myself with these cars when I'm 80. I'm 61 now. I haven't figure these cars as part of my retirement fund but a little return would be good.
