Damn straight, I would, and then ask him(manager) what he was going to do to fix your problem, and then go silent and wait for his answer. Make sure your girl friend is with you, so she can point out the offending sales clerk.
You may have some recourse, depending on what state you live in? The cleck accepted responsibilty as soon as he put the anti-freeze in the car and told her that it was OK to drive. A lot has to do with how much damage and the cost to repair, compared to the legal cost of filing in small claims court. That is what action I would have take. jm2cw

Sorry People, this did not happen to a 62-65, but could have just as well
been, my question is should I be as P.O'ed as I am??
Tuesday afternoon my girlfriend had one of my cars in town, and she
called and said that the Hot light had come on,,,,,, She told me where she was,
and it happened to be across the street from a major brand parts store,,,,,
I told her to go to the store and get some anti-freeze, and ask them to
install it,,,,,, I heard nothing back until about an hour later when she
called and said that the car had quit on her.
Come to find out that the parts store filled the overflow cannister and
sent her on her way while the car was still hot, and told her that it would
take care of itself,,,,, needless to say, there is now major damage to the
car, guess my question is, should I notify the store manager of the incident
and complain,,,,,,,,,,
