I used a combonation of both. On the Ball Joints, I used Rubber and on the tie rod ends I used the P/G. Car has not been on the road so I can not give any other feedback. The reason I used the rubber on the upper/lower is that it made a better seal the the P/G in my opinion. Just my 1/2 cent...
