Kickdown rod

Ok I thought I knew what I was doing but obviously I don't . And
I know it is not that hard. My trans does not shift down when I floor it. So that is in the kickdown linkage right? I have a 64 Ply Maxi clone, and I guess I can't figure it out can anybody help me out on this. Or maybe it is in the trans?? Thanks, Harry
