64 Dodge clock kit

Has anybody seen/used this kit? I think it's a little pricey. I'd love
to have a clock in my 64 Polara, but I think there's got to be a cheaper
way to do it. I had an idea after converting my gague cluster to the
Radio Shack voltage regulater as described on our website... why
couldn't you install a AA batery-operated clock in the dash and instead
of constantly replacing the AA battery, use a voltage regulator to step
down the original power supply to 1.5 volts much like the dash cluster
supply? What do you guys think of this idea?
