'65 426 wedge

Please tell me if the rocker covers (valve covers) on a '65 426 wedge were chrome or the same turquoise paint as the engine. I think the air cleaner top was chrome. What about the earlier max wedges? Were the rocker covers chromed or painted?
I am redoing my '65 Coronet stroker from a race only look to something a lot more subtle and streetable. Plans are to change the A990 single headlight grill and hood with scoop to stockers, keeping the mini-tubs and big tires, as well as the deep oil pan, but, I've already changed the headers to '68-'69 manifolds, repainted the engine the proper turquoise, and I am putting the battery back to the stock position under the hood and removing the remote battery switch from the rear of the car. By the way, what color were the stock battery cables?
