Interesting subject on the ’64 Plymouth dog dish caps. Not wanting to tread on his thread because I suspect the DD caps would be different between Plymouth and Dodge so I thought I’d raise my similar question here. On a ’64 Dodge with DD caps, which I would believe, came from the factory IN the car as based on the trim package ordered and was installed at the dealership during the new car detailing prep work prior to owner pick-up. My question is on the ’64 Dodge DD caps, there’s a small cone in the center with raised rib then a flat land area then a second raised rib. Should the area between the ribs have a bright polished finish like rest of the cap or should that area have a brushed satin finish as I once heard it should?
