Turns out my PerTronix IS bad after all, and it's on it's way back to CA to be checked out/warranty replaced. We re-did every connection in the ignition system & I replaced the coil. The last time the car died in my garage, it would not re-start even with 12V directly to the PerTronix unit. I talked to their tect line and they agreed it sounds like the PerTronix unit. The weather is going to be BEAUTIFUL this weekend in Maryland, so tonight I'm converting the car back to points temporarily. It's been decades since I've done this so I need some pointers. HELP! I'm pretty sure I have a tach/dwell meter in my box of goodies. Thanks!!!
