I temporarily converted the Coronet back to points tonight, and after not touching a set for literally 25 years, the damn thing seems to run quite well. It fired right up, idles quite nicely after resetting the timing, and best of all...ran for ~25 mins and didn't die!!! Question though...I plugged in my old tach / dwell meter and see that the dwell is a little low - 35 deg and it should be 40-45 deg (points gap is a little big). What will a low dwell do for driveability, performance? Am I really going to notice much difference in a car that is a cruiser?
