Re: Battery Cable Size

Hi Ollie

I am not sure what "number 4" wire is? but I have used big "arc welding cable" in the past.

What is also very important, I used the big cable bolted to the back of the motor (or starter bolt) for an earth, this help's starting.

Also a big cable for a good earth to the body, good for light's, and other electrical thing's on our car.

I beleive "big is better" as it has less resistance.

I also fit a head light relay to all my classic car's.
I have not yet done any of this to my 63 Dodge yet, but will when im up to that stage (I know im going very slow) just been very busy with life and work at the moment.

Will be soon relocating my battery to the trunk in my 65 Satellite. I have been told #4 wire is big enough. Whats everybody's thoughts?
