That 63 Polara is indeed a Maxie, probably a 413.No 426 Street Wedges in 1963...unless there were some very late 63's that one could orderwith a Street Wedge...Never heard of that, but then again, lots of surprises with Mopar! It was held at the Huntsville Drag Strip. Nice track. All participants could run test & tune and of coarse there was also bracket racing all day, just for Mopars. Later that evening track was open to all. One of the best turn out's for 62-65 Mopars that we have been too. Best of show was a 63 Polara convert, 426 street wedge, 24k original miles, matching number, 13 total produced. To top it off, it was towed by a "Little Red Truck" Alot of venders. I picked up a valance for my good Satellite, MS Cruiser, for $40. It could have passed for a NOS. We took "Ol' 43" and she was a big hit. Have to be honest and say that we did trailer her up there. The 97 degree weather, 350 miles, was a bit more tolerable in the truck with the AC blasting. We also saw another 65 Satellite in attendence. This is only the third one, including ours, we have ever seen at a show.Enjoy the pics. http://picasaweb.google.com/satellite1965/TNValleyMoparClubShow# Ollie [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ----Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
