The thing that really scares me about this is not only what they can interpret as "street racing" (burnouts, simple speeding, taking off from a light a "little too fast", and almost anything else) but it's the precedent that it might set for other states to follow suit! I don't want to have to worry about taking off 'spiritedly' in my Coronet from a stop sign, squeal the tires a little bit, and then lose my car and have a felony on my record for a 1st offense!!! I think this bill is a knee-jerk EXTREME over reaction. At least they give you some lee-way down-under! -- Bill M 65 Coronet 500 'vert http://1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/mmo62008.html 73 Dart Sport, 00 Cherokee Sport, 01 Dakota SLT 21 Model T Depot Hack, 92 Accord, 06 Mazda 3 On Fri, Jun 18, 2010 at 3:17 AM, Jim <jimfmd@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > We have some great car shows here in Australia, but as you say, there are > many people that love displaying there pride and joy, as well as looking at > other cool cars, as well as chat to the owners. > > But sadly, we have a few idiots that let a big smokey go, and theat of > coarse brings the police, and then we are all tared with the same brush. ---- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
