Re: parts cleaning / media blasting

Brian,
I have a Harbor Freight sandblaster and it works great. You must have a good air compressor. Get sand at a hardware store, fine commercial grade.

You might be surprised as to how many local ‘shops’ would have a blast cabinet and probably do your parts for ya…at a fee of course. Body/paint shops, machine shops, car / truck mechanical repair shops etc. Ask or call around. As for owning one, I don’t regret buying my own cabinet. These are handy for a multitude of tasks besides ‘automotive’. Another choice maybe a small inexpensive bucket stand-a-lone type gravity feed unit as found at Sears, Harbor Freight etc.

I am rebuilding the front suspension on my '62 Dart and want to clean
all the parts up and then rattle can them with that VHT black epoxy
primer. My son wants me to buy my own blast cabinet and do it myself,
but I don't think I want to get into that mess.

Anyone know of a shop in southeastern Michigan that will take on this
rather small project?

Thanks in advance,

Brian Safford
