Understood.  I'm doing a complete resto, so the glass was coming out anyway.  If / when I ever need to get to the dash bolts, I will heed your advice.  Thanks,

You are right. It can be removed by one person in a tiny garage but is it worth the time and hassle of removing the glass hoping it doesn't crack; buying a new gasket and then re installing the glass.
By the time the glass is out, the dash could have been re installed, granted it's tedious but much much safer.
