Drip Rail Molding 'Clips'

In reference to drip rail molding ‘clips’, what size are your drip rail moldings on your car(s)? For instance, my ’64 Dodge B body 440 two door HT has a wide drip rail molding measuring 1 ¼” wide. While removing these, I only found one clip per side holding it to the drip rail and one of these had a broken corner but still served its purpose. I’m inclined to think there should be a couple more clips per side but I also noticed an interesting fact about these two orphaned clips. Because this molding is so wide, completely covering the drip rail, the clip has a built-in stand-off at the top center portion with a bit of rubber/plastic coating the tip. This allows the top edge of the molding to stand away from the painted roof surface about 1/8 inch thus allowing water to drain. Assuming these clips will not be found these days, I contacted Tom (“The Clipologist”) at R/T Specialties. He entertained the thought of getting these produced but needs to know that there would be a demand for the investment. So if these clips would apply to more than the ’64 – ’65 HT roof line with a 1 ¼ wide molding he may well be convinced to do these.
So how wide are your drip rail moldings again? Dave
