I have had a set of the cheap Harbour freight ones for 4-5 years now and have used them for everything from storing an engine on to moving furniture, they work fine on flat surfaces, would work on a small incline if you had the horse power to move them, but definitely need to be on a hard surface, and no big cracks in pavement either, the wheels are just to small for anything else In a message dated 3/17/2010 7:50:20 P.M. They're fairly heavy and work fine on a smooth surface. I don't think they would be easy to push on an incline or uneven floor. I bought some from Harbor Freight yesterday that weren't quite as heavy, but I'm only using them to hold NASCAR slicks, used as end tables, next to my 64 Belvedere seat in the shop. I noticed the HF one's had steel wheels. Gary F.
