Re: testing steel wheels?

Gary, you could take them to a shop that does spin balancing. Chuck them up and spin by hand to check for side to side wobble and check for out of roundness. If there are no cracks, they should be OK unless the buyer mounts radial tires and installs on a heavy vehicle. Then they may crack ..........................MO ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gary H." <spigot2039@xxxxxxxxxxx>

Subject: testing steel wheels?

Hi all,

I'm going to ship 2 plain stock Mopar steel wheels (without tires) to a fellow in Europe. I assume these 1962 Plymouth B 14" wheels are okay, but is there a way to test the wheels to see they are not bent or unusable before I send them?

I'd hate to learn the wheels were bad after all the cost and effort to get the wheels shipped over the Atlantic pond.

Thanks,
Gary H.
