Re: B Body gas tank

MO,
Glad to hear of your progress. Yes you got good info on your fuel tank. Roof felt for the top and filler gromment is readily available.
Hope Rich gets his puter woo's fixed soon. Going to miss him on here.
Slow progress on my painting the Petty Car. A bit of cool weather has got me stopped for the past few days but things will improve shortly.
Ollie

I took the gas tank out of my 64 Dodge today. Another nice surprise, the tank outside of a dent , is in good condition, and the underside of the trunk floor --no rust holes.. There is a big grommet that seals the filler tube to the hole in the tank. Are new ones readily available? Didn't the factory use some kind of "cushion" between the top of the gas tank and the underside of the trunk floor? mine had nothing, Thanks for a reply..................................MO
