Re: SS Springs brought back up again



I put on 3800# SS springs because my '65 Belvedere I with the 440 weights almost that with me in it.  It's a tank compared to the 3180# plus driver weight of the '65 Belvedere I I raced in my youth - that had a 318 but it's not that much lighter than a 440.

I'm interested in opinions on the 3400lb vs 3800lb ss springs.  My old DC manual says 3400lb springs are the ones for my '64 Belvedere 2d HT, but I think I've read that some guys go with the 3800lb springs.  I'm planning to do this swap in the spring (no pun intended), but I'm not sure which ones I should go with.
